Responsibilities

Coordinator

Our Coordintor is Jo Graham and she will generally:

• ensure that the group knows who is hosting next and everyone knows their order in hosting responsibilities
• lead the group in determining when the next event might take place
• provide assistance to the next host if that is needed
• resolve any issues that might arise through misunderstandings or outright refusals to obey the rules

Hosts

The next host will:

• organize a date for their event
• determine a theme for the event and select and buy the wines to be served
• advise the group of the wines chosen and any other information they might need to choose a small plate that would complement one of more of the wines to be tasted
• arrange transfer of the Club's wine glass cases (and possibly the tasting table) to their home
• prepare for the thirsty guests prior to their arrival
• guide the group in the tasting, take notes and photos if appropriate 
• eMail the attendees on the net cost of the wine and the per person price, and
• provide information about the wines, photos if taken, and any other relevant material to the webmaster for the event website page and work with him to finalize the event page for publishing

The group has agreed that the Host may invite another couple to join us for their tasting.  In that case, the host will advise everyone so that they can make adjustments to their small plate contribution to accommodate 10 people.

Guests

Each guest will bring a small plate dinner course to pair with one of more of the wines (as arranged with the host prior to the event).  The guest couple will be responsible for warming if necessary, plating, and serving the course.  An explanation of why it was chosen and any infomation about the course would be welcomed.

Following the event, if a recipe can be provided, it will be included as a link on the menu item.

Each guest will send an eTransfer to the host after the event to pay for their share of the wine cost.

Webmaster

Ian Smith will create and manage our website, the primary purpose of which is to document the wines and foods tasted and provide information about where to buy wine and recipes for the food.
